What is Morganite:

Morganite is also called beryl. It is from the family of beryl gem which a salmon-colored variety is having pink character that formed due to presence of manganese and cesium like minerals. The formation of Morganite is in the form of hexagonal crystals and it is a clear mineral. Other varieties of  beryl like emerals and aquamarine are different from the Morganite.

How Morganite is formed?

Morganite was initially found in the mineral deposits of  California and afterwards it is also known to be found in the mineral deposits of Afgahnistan, Brazil, Mozambique, Russian and Namibia. Firstly it was known as pink beryl but later it was renamed after a gem collector, J.P. Morgan.  

Is Morganite Uncommon?

On checking the rates of Morganite you will find that they are reasonably priced and you will know that they are abundant in quantity than emeralds.  On the other hand, Morganite is a very uncommon gemstone. Precious Morganite are rarely found but still this scarcity is not seen in their prices. It always remains reasonable gemstone. To increase the price of Morganite by some retailers they are traded by giving them more beautiful name as pink emerald. Being a variety of beryl Morganite is more similar to emerald. Morganite has a very graceful color that describes gentleness and femininity As we move Morganite in various angles it appears in different shades. Their shades normally generate from graceful peach pink, to luminously salmon colored, and to a denser violet-pink. The quantity of mineral present in the crystal influences the scattering of the stone.  More saturated pink in the Morganite is yielded by higher content of manganese or cesium in it.  The value of the stone depends upon its saturation, more saturation increases the worth of the stone. The Morganite which are more desirable are pink and rose colored.
