Different grades of Ruby gemstone

Many gem collectors are perplexed as to why a few ruby gemstones are on sale for a greater price while others are on sale for a lower price. In truth, a gem insider's mind is occasionally plagued by the same question.

The foregoing misunderstanding stems from the fact that the price of rubies and other valuable gemstones is entirely determined by the number of inclusions, cuts, clarity, and certification of the stone.

As a result, a ruby with few inclusions, great clarity, and a good cut will fetch a higher price. A ruby gemstone with more inclusions, less clarity, and a common cut, on the other hand, will be offered for a low price.

With the aforementioned worry in mind, we've broken down how ruby gemstones are categorized into four groups based on quality. The ruby gemstone is graded in the following way (Manik stone).

Standard Grade Ruby Gemstone

The ruby stone that fits into this group is considered to be the least expensive ruby stone. As a result, anyone interested in this stone or gem collectors can purchase normal ruby gemstones.

The standard ruby's lustre and clarity will not exceed the gem market's established requirements.

Those who want to wear this stone but don't want to spend a lot of money on it could consider this option.

The price of a one-carat typical ruby gemstone will range between 1000 and 1500 dollars, making it more affordable than other ruby gemstone categories.

Fine Quality Ruby Gemstone

The good quality ruby stone is a step up from the basic ruby stone. The stone has fewer imperfections and better clarity, as well as a lustre that adds to its total value.

Despite this, the fine category ruby gemstone still has inclusions visible to the naked eye. However, when compared to the previous one, the number of inclusions is few.

As a result of the improved quality of fine category ruby stones, fine quality ruby stones will cost between 1500 and 2000 dollars per carat.

Premium Quality Ruby Gemstone

The premium quality ruby stones are high-quality stones with no visible inclusions and excellent colour. With the naked eye, it's quite impossible to find any imperfections or blemishes in the stone.

With a 10x loupe magnifier, however, bare inclusions in the stone can be seen. The price of this stone may range from 5000 to 10000 per carat due to its outstanding grade.

Super-premium Ruby Gemstone

The super-premium ruby gemstones are the highest quality ruby gemstones available. There are almost no inclusions in the stone, and the various shapes and colour properties impress everyone. The super-premium ruby gemstone, on the other hand, is highly pricey.
