Dish Soap Soak

Dish soap is an ideal solution for cleaning jewellery. For this, you need a bowl of warm water, a mild dish soap, a soft brush and a soft lint-free cloth.

• Mix dish soap into a bowl of warm water.
• Put your jewellery in the soapy mixture and leave it for 15 to 30 minutes.
• Lightly brush away dirt using a soft-bristled toothbrush.
• Rinse the jewellery with warm water.
• Finally, dry your jewellery with a lint-free cloth.

Baking Soda Cleaning Paste

• The mixture of baking soda with water is another great cleaning option for cleaning dirty jewellery. For this, you need a small mixing bowl, baking soda, water, lint-free cloth and a soft-bristled toothbrush.
• Mix baking soda and water in a bowl.
• Place paste of baking soda on the jewellery and gently rub using a soft-bristled toothbrush or your finger.

Ammonia is a stronger cleaner which is appropriate for cleaning diamond jewellery. If you use diluted ammonia to clean other gemstones, it can damage them. For this, you need a small bowl, warm water, ammonia, lint-free cloth and a soft-bristled toothbrush.

• Mix only 1 part of ammonia to 5 parts of warm water.
• Soak your diamond ring in this mixture for 15 to 30 minutes.
• Scrub away dirt using a soft-bristled toothbrush.
• Rinse it with warm water.
• Dry your jewellery with a clean and soft lint-free cloth.
