• Diamond

Take some warm water and gently massage the diamond with a brush to clean it. Mechanical cleaning is not recommended as it may damage the gemstone, so hand cleaning is the best way. While eating, sleeping, exercising or bathing, keep the diamond in a safe jewel box or wrap it in a tissue to avoid damage

• Ruby

Gently clean the stone with a brush and with detergent and warm water. Use a very mild natural detergent. Avoid mechanical cleaning to avoid damage, don’t keep the ruby in your pockets or handbags as it can get scratched or even break.

• Emerald

Clean it with warm water and a natural detergent using a soft brush. If the shine is fading go to your gemologist to see whether it needs oiling or polishing. Always keep it in a safe box when you are not wearing it to avoid damage

• Sapphire

Sapphires are delicate gemstones, so you should take extra care while cleaning them, use a brush or cotton wool with some warm water and gently massage on the gemstone. Keep it in a safe jewelry box when you are not wearing it and don’t expose it to harsh elements.

• Pearl

Just use some cotton wool or a damp soft tissue or cloth to wipe out and clean the pearl. Never dip the pearl in a detergent or soap solution as this may discolor the gemstone. Pearls need oxygen to maintain their shine and luster and so never keep them in an airtight bag or container
